Wolf Management Plan
DNR released the long awaited draft Wolf Management Plan on August 1. The draft plan will go to the Natural Resources Board at their October meeting. A media kit is available for stories on the draft plan. https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/wildlifehabitat/wolfmanagementplan
“In addition to the executive summary included in the draft plan, this FAQ document has high-level information and talking points which may be helpful in media coverage.
“View a recording of the briefing on YouTube or download the recording for use in broadcast via WeTransfer.
“Media are encouraged to use these images in newscasts and content.“
Guest workshop speaker
WOCA was very pleased to welcome Secretary Adam Payne from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources for a presentation and question and answer session. Among topics covered were the Secretary’s background and management philosophy, the wolf plan, parks, Wisconsin Natural Resources magazine, agency efforts to build stronger alliances, and the current DNR media contact protocols.
